. . . am absent-minded

Yesterday I headed over to the UPS store to ship a package. I had been painting immediately before I left. . . no make-up on, hair barely combed, looking like a big mess, but not really caring because it was a quick trip and then back to painting. Looked in the rearview mirror. . . gasp. My eyes were ringed with white. Both of them. Hilarious. Don't ask how they got that way. Something to do with gesso on my hands and itchy eyes. And sadly, the effect was not rejuvenating. It did absolutely nothing for my dark circles and bags.

I would be laughing harder, except that could have been me. Last night whle brushing my teeth before going to bed, I saw a big smear of gesso on my cheek. I told my husband he was taking way too much for granted if I could walk around with that on my face. Thankfully, it was only at home. This time.

LOL! - ah, yes! the quick trip directly from the studio into the world and home again to see charcoal around my nose, white paint in my hair and wood chips on my glasses from using my dremel - yep! classic!

Sort of a reverse raccoon effect?

That happens to me all the time! :)

Regina: That's pretty cute. Maybe he thought it was some new kind of make-up or something and didn't want to make a comment that might be misconstrued.

Jeane: Thank goodness there are others out in the world as intent on art as I am. A little saliva and a used tissue fixed me right up. Yuck.

Jazz: Exactly like a reverse racoon. So attractive.

Bridgette: That's good news to me. Maybe I'm not as crazy as I seem?

So gesso won't work to cover the circles under my eyes? Darn.
I once went into the store with a pair of sunglasses on my head- and another on my eyes! I couldn't understand what the girl behind the counter was chuckling about- until I got back to the car and looked in the mirror. I laughed all the way home.
