. . .became somewhat desolate




No, not really. But this is a photo of a rural eastern Kansas landscape yesterday afternoon at about 3:30.




If you can't see the beauty in the various shades of gray, brown and black, you are in big trouble out here.

whoa...looks like the view from my kitchen window....the only small pleasure is near 4 p.m. when the shadows play across the snow drifts....

These two pics are stunning. I love the first one in particular. I am a great appreciator of grays. I have to be too because fog is our number 1 environmental condition!

This scene looks like my water view this morning- I live on a cliff over looking the bay-- and the water and the sky had no division this morning-- both white and ethereal-- haunting like your image
