Time to Listen, process work
-
I have an array of House stencils for many uses of my work.
This is a photo I took created a image transfer.
I'm taking my time with this instead...

There are lots of us out here in blogland who could give you a run for your money in the guilt line. I love how this painting glows. I'm glad you left it alone- I don't always follow that advice. I think some paintings are delivered with long labour pains. They are the ones that are precious.
I am LOL, because yes this has happened to me before and my Catholic upbringing seems to kick in as well! I can totally relate!
It's a fabulous painting Mary. Enjoy your guilt and the painting!
Wow, again. I am really enjoying this fall season, and this painting is a perfect example of why. The colors in this peice are so rich and inviting. There is excitement about it that evokes, for me, the worderful fall spirit. Great painting. Nothing to feel guilty about here.
Mary this is gorgeous - don't you just love when this happens - but I don't think it happens unless we have put the work in on all the other stuff - I think it just means we have exercised our art muscles :)
I know the feeling.....and I love this painting!
I love this painting! What size is it? How are you doing?
Mary
I really like this piece - it has just the right balance to satisfy a texture afficianado like myself. Isn't it nice when the work comes out so effortlessly? Sometimes it seems like it's our own strenuous efforts that limit what we produce!
I really love your art. Do you have a place that you sell (gallery, ETSY, home?) I especially like the one a few posts back that is reddish with black and white stripe going down the piece dividing the yellow from the red. I think it IS a peaceful piece. But then again, I absolutely LOVE red in any shape, form, tint, or hue.
Gorgeous painting !
Hi, Margaret: Many times I do not know when to stop painting. The good ones that are born after the labor pains are indeed precious. The bad ones are just frustrating.
La Dolce: That Catholic upbringing, along with being a working mother most of my life, have given me an eternal source of guilt. Dwingling, but still there.
Leslie: Thanks; now there's a concept: enjoy my guilt. Must think about that for a while.
Miki: Thank you; it has a fall look to it, certainly. The colors outside this autumn are particularly spectacular because of the rain we had all summer.
Jeane: Thanks so much for your coment. I hope exercising my art muscles will make this happen more often.
Thank you, Art P: I appreciate your comment.
Karen: I think it's a smaller one, but I haven't measured it. I was using the tag ends of a roll of canvas. Maybe 24 x 24"? I'm doing all right, getting ready to send in my collages. I hope they will be all right.
Exactly, Bob: work too hard on something and totally screw it up. I know that feeling.
Thanks, Teri. I'm a red fan, too. I may restart my etsy store one of these days when I get a bit more organized. If you see something you particularly like, please just let me know (marycbuek at aol.com)
Planete: That's nice of you to say. Thanks for the comment.
This is gorgeous. The textures and the colors really sing!
