. . . unloaded some junk

Several months ago, I had the heating and AC units serviced.

I guess to prove that work was actually done on the equipment in the basement, the repairman showed me this grungey piece of work just before he started to haul it off to dispose of it. I think it may be a part of the (de)humidifier. No question about it, it probably needed to be replaced.

I asked him to leave it here. . . he looked at me rather oddly, for sure, but he complied. I just found it back, in a plastic bag, and thought that I would photograph it before I pitched it. It is soooo much cooler in person, but even I can't think up a use for it. Probably a great piece for use in an assemblage. Wish I could keep it, but I must be ruthless in my decluttering.

so gorgeous, but alas, we must let go!

What a dreadful temptation in the middle of decluttering!!! Glad you recorded it though - maybe that's enough!

your ability to step back or step up to objects and work with them as form and texture is inspiring..i did a macro shot of the carapace of my desert tortoise, and the result was rather beautiful...thanks for directing me to a rather zen space through your art

What a beautiful piece of junk! You let it go, but you didn't - since you photographed it. Now you can enjoy the texture via the pix and maybe emulate whatever qualities speak to you maybe in an art piece!

Jazz: "strangely" is so true.

Jeane: It's gone, outta here.

Rose: It was flaking and chipping away, leaving a huge mess. Oh, well.

Mama: Oh, I would like to see that photo of the turtle. I'm sure it was astounding.

Heart: I want to try to paint something like that in the future.
